Sons of Barley Beer Company: Crafting Community in Woodbury Heights, NJ
Get ready, South Jersey, because a fantastic new spot has just landed in Gloucester County! Sons of Barley Beer Company threw open its doors in Woodbury Heights in November 2025, and let me tell you, it’s already making a splash. This isn’t just another taproom; it’s a place with a ton of heart, five years of recipe development, and a killer story.
The first thing you’ll notice is the awesome bar. It’s not just wood—it’s crafted from the actual bowling lane (Lane 11 from Turnersville Bowlero) where co-owner Scott Rigilano bowled one of his perfect 300 games. How cool is that? It’s the perfect spot to sit with a flight and soak in the atmosphere of the 2,000-square-foot, 60-seat taproom.
But let’s talk about the beer, because that’s why we’re here. The owners are all about “approachable, drinkable beers.” They’re not chasing fleeting trends; they’re focused on brewing high-quality, delicious beer that you’ll want to come back for again and again. With plans for 12 taps, you can expect a great variety, from classic IPAs and rich stouts to crisp lagers. And for friends who might want something different, they even offer alcohol-based seltzers with various flavors you can custom-blend yourself.
Sons of Barley is a must-visit. It’s the perfect local spot to meet friends, enjoy a few quality pints, and become part of a new beer community. I’ll see you there. Cheers!
