Absecon, in Atlantic County, is a small city on the mainland just north of Atlantic City, bordered by the back bays that separate the barrier islands from the Jersey coast. Its position on Route 30 and the Atlantic City Expressway makes it a primary gateway for visitors heading into the Atlantic City resort area from the north and west. The craft beverage scene in this part of Atlantic County is modest compared to the denser clusters in Cape May County to the south, but the Absecon area has seen growing interest from producers drawn to the accessible location and the steady flow of Shore-bound traffic.

Wineries and distilleries operating in Atlantic County tend to anchor themselves in the more agricultural areas of the county’s interior, with Absecon serving more as a corridor community. Visitors using Absecon as a base can reach craft beverage venues across southern Atlantic County and into neighboring Cape May County within a short drive, with the Garden State Parkway providing direct regional access in both directions.
