Clifton, in Passaic County, is one of the more densely populated cities in northern New Jersey, sitting between Paterson to the north and the Passaic River to the east. The city shares borders with Rutherford, Garfield, and Bloomingdale, and functions as a commercial hub for the central part of Passaic County. Its location near Routes 3, 21, and 46 makes it a well-trafficked point for both residents and commuters from across the northern half of the state.

North Jersey has seen steady craft brewery growth over the past decade, and Passaic County has been part of that expansion. Clifton’s mix of commercial corridors and older industrial properties has provided space for taproom operations. For residents of Clifton and surrounding Passaic County towns, the craft beverage scene within a 20-minute drive includes options within the county as well as in neighboring Bergen County. The area is also within reasonable range of the Hudson County and Essex County brewing clusters closer to the Hudson waterfront.
