Cranbury, in Middlesex County, is a small historic borough in the interior of central New Jersey, known for one of the better-preserved 18th and 19th-century downtowns in the state. The borough sits near the intersection of Route 130 and the New Jersey Turnpike, roughly 12 miles south of New Brunswick and 15 miles northeast of Trenton. Despite its proximity to major highways, Cranbury maintains a quiet character defined by its historic district and surrounding farmland.

Middlesex County’s craft beverage scene has grown in recent years, with breweries and distillery operations within the county. Cranbury’s position near the Turnpike gives it easy access to both the New Brunswick area to the north and the Princeton corridor to the west, where craft production venues in Middlesex and Mercer counties are within a short drive. For residents of Cranbury and surrounding Plainsboro and South Brunswick, the central New Jersey craft beverage circuit is accessible within 20 minutes in most directions.
