Deptford Breweries, Wineries & Distilleries

Deptford Township, in Gloucester County, is a large South Jersey suburb situated between Woodbury to the north and Washington Township to the south, roughly 15 miles from Philadelphia via the Walt Whitman or Commodore Barry bridges. The township developed rapidly in the 1970s and 1980s as suburban growth expanded southeast from Camden County, and it now functions as a commercial center for the mid-county area, with major retail corridors along Routes 41 and 45.

Gloucester County has become one of the more active South Jersey counties for craft beverage production. Deptford’s central location within the county makes it a convenient base for accessing the county’s breweries and the winery corridor around Mullica Hill to the south. For residents and visitors in the Deptford area, the craft beverage options within Gloucester County are reachable within a 20-minute drive in most directions, and the proximity to Camden County adds brewery options closer to the Delaware River waterfront in Haddon Heights and surrounding towns.
