Eatontown, in Monmouth County, is a suburban borough in the northern Shore corridor of central Monmouth County, situated between Red Bank to the north and Asbury Park to the south. The borough borders Long Branch along the coast and lies a short distance from the former Fort Monmouth site, which has been redeveloping since the Army installation closed in 2011. Eatontown functions as a commercial hub for the mid-Monmouth Shore area, with significant retail along Route 35 and the Monmouth Mall corridor.
Monmouth County’s craft beverage scene spans from the shore towns of the coast to the wine areas of Colts Neck and Cream Ridge inland. Eatontown’s position in the coastal mid-county area gives residents access to taprooms and tasting rooms in Red Bank, Long Branch, and the broader northern Shore corridor, as well as an easy drive to the wine-oriented venues in the county’s interior. The county includes breweries, wineries, and distillery operations distributed across its geography from the shore to the farmland townships.
