Florence is a township in Burlington County situated along the Delaware River, directly northeast of Burlington City and south of Bordentown. The Delaware River corridor in Burlington County has historically been an industrial and transportation route, and Florence retains some of that character with a mix of riverside residential neighborhoods and light commercial activity. Burlington County as a whole has a growing craft beverage scene, with breweries scattered across the county from Mount Holly southward into the Pinelands.
Florence sits in the northern portion of Burlington County, closer to Trenton and the Mercer County line than to the Pinelands towns further south. The Delaware River setting also gives Florence proximity to the Pennsylvania craft beverage scene across the water, and visitors can combine a Burlington County taproom visit with stops in Bucks County, which has its own established winery and brewery trail. For travelers on Route 130 or the New Jersey Turnpike, Florence is accessible as a stop along the Burlington County river corridor between Trenton and Camden.
