Little Ferry, in Bergen County, is a small borough positioned along the Hackensack River near the edge of the Meadowlands, roughly 10 miles from midtown Manhattan. The area is densely developed, with commercial and residential uses typical of inner Bergen County, and sits adjacent to Hackensack to the west and South Hackensack to the south. Craft beverage venues in this part of Bergen County draw from a dense suburban and urban population that has access to a growing number of taprooms and tasting rooms spread across the county.
Bergen County has seen craft brewery activity increase over the past decade, particularly in the communities closest to the Hudson River corridor and the Meadowlands area. Little Ferry’s location on the Hackensack River and its proximity to Route 46 and the Garden State Parkway make it accessible to visitors from across North Jersey as well as from New York City. The borough is a compact stop within a broader Bergen County craft beverage circuit that extends from the river towns near the Hudson through the suburban interior of the county toward the Pascack Valley.
