Somerdale, in Camden County, is a small borough in southwestern South Jersey, bordered by Stratford to the north, Gloucester Township to the west, and Magnolia to the east. The borough is suburban in character, positioned in the southern portion of Camden County between the Philadelphia-adjacent communities near the river and the more rural areas toward the Gloucester County border.

Camden County has a growing craft beverage scene anchored by several breweries and taprooms spread across its suburban communities. Somerdale’s position in the southern part of the county places it near the Route 42 and Atlantic City Expressway interchange, giving it strong highway access from both the Shore counties to the east and the Philadelphia area to the west. Visitors exploring South Jersey’s brewery circuit from the Cherry Hill and Voorhees corridor can extend their trip south through the Somerdale and Stratford area, which connects naturally to the Gloucester County taproom scene a short drive farther south on Route 42.
