Woodbine, in Cape May County, is a small inland borough in the northern part of Cape May County, roughly 30 miles north of Cape May city and about 10 miles west of Sea Isle City on the Shore. The borough sits in the agricultural interior of Cape May County, away from the coastal resort communities that define the county’s public identity.

Cape May County is one of New Jersey’s established winery regions, and Woodbine’s position in the county’s rural interior places it within the broader geographic corridor of farm wineries and production tasting rooms that serve the peninsula. The area around Woodbine and the neighboring communities of Dennis Township and Upper Township includes farmland suited to vineyard and orchard operations. Visitors exploring Cape May County’s craft beverage scene from the barrier island resorts of Ocean City, Sea Isle City, or Avalon can reach the inland Woodbine area in 20 to 30 minutes, making it a practical stop on a county-wide tour that moves between the Shore communities and the rural interior.
